KAology
The Study of Autonomic Biological Congruence
KAology is the study of Autonomic Biological Congruence — the measurable relationship between identity, daily behavior, and autonomic physiological regulation.
It establishes a structured scientific framework for defining, observing, and quantifying how meaning-state alignment influences autonomic allocation.
Applications built within this framework are currently in development for practitioners and the public to operationalize real-time meaning-state measurement.
A scientific discipline built on one foundational hypothesis
The Core Hypothesis
This framework formalizes that relationship as Autonomic Biological Congruence — a measurable construct linking meaning, identity, and autonomic allocation within the nervous system.
KAology defines, formalizes, and structures this phenomenon as a distinct scientific construct available for clinical and empirical examination.
Why It Matters
Behavioral health currently relies primarily on subjective self-report tools to assess progress and outcome. There is no structured, real-time physiological measurement framework designed for use inside behavioral or psychotherapy sessions.
KAology introduces that missing layer — a measurable autonomic framework designed to quantify identity-physiology alignment in real time.
KAology makes the relationship measurable.
What’s Your Soul Alignment Score?
Before you dive deeper, discover where you stand. The Ka Quotient (KQ) is Dr. Hackett’s proprietary 21-question assessment that measures your alignment across the four soul principles that govern your time, wealth, love, and health.
Take the Ka Quotient Test
Get your personalized KQ score in just 5 minutes. Discover which of the four principles needs attention — and how the KAology framework can help you realign.

The KAology framework emerged from 13 years of integrative clinical observation involving more than 4,000 longitudinal client cases.
Early Clinical Pattern
Before HRV was layered into the system, a consistent pattern appeared: clients who made identity-aligned decisions — leaving misaligned work, restoring meaningful routines, reintroducing personally valued activities — demonstrated measurable physiological shifts.
These changes were observed through:
- Functional blood chemistry patterns
- Inflammatory markers
- Hormonal shifts
- Sleep quality improvements
- Measurable vitality changes
In many cases, improvements occurred without herbal, supplement, or dietary intervention. The common variable was meaning alignment.
From Observation to Measurement
To structure these observations behaviorally, the Soul First framework was developed. The book Soul First: Master 24 Hours, Master Life documented early case patterns demonstrating how scheduling identity-specific meaning back into daily life altered stress patterns and health trajectories.
The Soulset Guide translated 13 years of structured identity-based work into a repeatable daily behavioral system.
When HRV was later layered into this process, those shifts became observable in real time — revealing a structural gap no existing framework had addressed.
Autonomic Biological Congruence
KAology defines Autonomic Biological Congruence as the measurable alignment between identity-relevant meaning states and autonomic nervous system allocation.

MAP™ — Multi-State Autonomic Patterning
While KAology is the scientific framework, structured applications are currently in development to operationalize the model.
MAP™ is a patent-pending structured autonomic framework designed to:
- Measure HRV across defined identity-linked states
- Detect divergence between physiological states
- Quantify congruence using the KA Quotient™
- Map identity-state alignment longitudinally
Unlike single-state HRV readings, MAP™ captures how physiology shifts across purpose, stress, values, relationships, and performance states.
Public application rollout begins March 2026
KA MeTime™
Guided identity-aligned HRV sessions designed to build congruence awareness in real time.
MAP-Pro™
Practitioner dashboard and reporting platform for clinical integration of autonomic congruence data.
Longitudinal Tracking
Consumer alignment tracking tools and longitudinal congruence scoring for individual use.
Multidisciplinary expertise at every level
KAology is supported by a multidisciplinary leadership group spanning clinical psychology, neuroscience, behavioral health research, software development, media strategy, and global operations — collectively representing over 40 years of clinical, operational, and neuroscientific leadership.
The team includes:
- PhD-level Clinical Psychologists leading IRB research preparation and practitioner protocol development
- Neuroscience and signal systems advisors specializing in EEG, performance analytics, and physiological modeling
